At CrossFit Cornelius (C2) it is our goal to redefine fitness in a competitive and motivating environment. Our program is based on CrossFit methodology. This means we do constantly varied, functional movements at a high-intensity. Functional movements are organic in nature, innate to our DNA and essential to our quality of life. We train for longevity, we train for health and most of all, and we train for fun. Utilizing the CrossFit technique and philosophy we will motivate, educate and inspire individuals, adults and children alike, to reduce obesity and regain their ability to live a healthier lifestyle.
We believe in hard work, intensity, and motivation. We will provide you with a daily workout and certified trainers to assist you through them. We don’t believe in anyone going to work out in a gym and not knowing what to do. Too much time at the gym is wasted and too many goals aren’t achieved, not because of a lack of motivation, but lack of knowledge and direction. We aim to correct this problem. CrossFit is not a specialized fitness program. On the contrary, the CrossFit objective is to become proficient in 10 General Physical Skills. Those skills are cardiovascular / respiratory endurance, stamina, strength, flexibility, power, speed, coordination, agility, accuracy, and balance. Many athletes, who are great in certain sports, have large gaps in their overall fitness, as defined by these skill categories. What makes CrossFitters exceptional is their ability to excel in their general physical preparedness (their ability to be ready for the unknown and the unknowable) and in their overall fitness and health.
At C2 you will push yourself to levels you never dreamed possible. Yet, we never strive for better numbers at the expense of compromising posture, position and quality of movement. Creating a mechanically strong foundation, while consistently reinforcing it through practice, will lead to an intensity level unmatched in any other fitness realm.
Our workouts can be scaled to accommodate all levels of fitness, ability and experience. Regardless of a person’s past experience or current level of fitness, each person who comes to C2 is given the opportunity to learn about the basic mechanics and techniques of movement, terminology and pre/post workout exercises before ever participating in our regular group classes.
