CrossFit Cornelius group class is a general strength and conditioning class where you’ll learn and develop these foundational components of fitness. These classes are the backbone of what we do here. The group class encourages community, camaraderie, individual performance/progress and fun. You will learn the basics of powerlifting, Olympic weightlifting, basic gymnastics and bodyweight movements, proper running mechanics and much more. You will always receive instruction from a CrossFit certified trainer and will constantly be observed to ensure that you are performing all movements in a safe and efficient manner. Everyone works hard, but no one will be asked to do things they can’t safely do. Everything we do in the group class is scalable. If the weight is too heavy, it can be lowered. If a movement is too advanced, it can be modified. Above all other considerations is your safety. We want everyone training with us for the long haul and keeping you injury free is a top priority. CrossFit Cornelius members receive coaching every time they train or attend a class. Classes are scheduled in one hour increments throughout the day and generally include a warm-up, skill work, strength & conditioning and cool down. Sign up for a Free Intro Class.
CrossFit Cornelius Foundations Program is where you begin on the right path to reach your fitness goals. Coached by a CrossFit certified trainer and delivered in a personal small group environment, Foundations is designed to ensure you can participate in your first group Workout of the Day (or WOD) with confidence and the knowledge you need to be successful. The movement curriculum is sequential and you will gain a comprehensive understanding of the CrossFit program as well as learn the proper techniques of our foundation movements.
CrossFit Cornelius is built upon the philosophy that CrossFit is for everyone. Every movement can be scaled. No matter what your current fitness level and athletic ability, you can benefit from CrossFit. You might not think a “Baby Boomer” and a college football player would benefit from the same movements in their exercise routine, yet they do. A football player does heavy squats to increase explosiveness and improve his performance on the field. While a “Baby Boomer”, might air squat or chair sit to improve mobility and strength. This helps with everyday activities like sitting down and standing back up. Heavy squatting and sitting in a chair use the same exact muscles. CrossFit Cornelius members needs differ by degree, not kind.
Foundations will give you the tools necessary to help fulfill your goal. You will be able to step into group class with the confidence and knowledge needed to take that next step! Contact us to register for your Foundations Course.

Individual Design is great for those athletes that want to become competitive or who want the personalized program and do not need the constant supervision from a coach. You will meet with one our coaches on site, discuss your goals. Your coach will prepare a training program individualized specifically with your goals, testing results, strengths and weaknesses in mind. Our coaches are skilled at customizing programming in order to meet your specific goals. You can come to the gym during classes and warm up with the group then break off and complete your WOD or come in during open gym. This is done on your own with minimal supervision. You will report your results to your coach who will then use those for future program design. Contact us for more detail.
