CARE WHERE
YOU
TRAIN.
A doctor of physical therapy and massage therapist with an office inside our building. A registered dietitian on staff. A medical practice two minutes up Catawba. They do not just share an address with us. They share notes.

WHY THIS EXISTS
I BUILT AND CONTINUE TO BUILD THIS BECAUSE I NEEDED IT AND IT DID NOT EXIST.
Over the last few years everything I had done to my body came due at once. Not sore. Pain. It got to the point where I could not train at all. Think about that for a second. The guy who owns the gym could not train in his own gym.
What I found was that the help was out there, just scattered. A physical therapist who never spoke to my coach. A doctor who never saw my training. A nutritionist working from a form I filled out once. Four people with four pieces, and me in the middle carrying messages between them.
So we stopped referring people out and started bringing people in. Now the person treating your shoulder can walk twenty feet and tell the coach who is programming your pressing what to change this week.
WHO IS HERE
The team around your training.
Every one of these people is independent. They run their own practice, keep their own records, and make their own clinical calls. What is different is that they are in the room.
RETURN 2 PLAY · PHYSICAL THERAPY
Dr. Lauren Gass
DPT, PT, LAT, ATC, CSCS, Cert. DN
Founder and Lead Physical Therapist
IN THE BUILDING
Lauren has a dedicated office inside C2. She completed a sports physical therapy residency that included time with the NHL Dallas Stars, and she treats out of Davidson and Huntersville as well as here.
The reason this matters more than a referral card is proximity. If something is not moving right, she can watch you do it on our floor, on the equipment you actually use, in the class you actually attend. Then she tells your coach what to change. That conversation happens the same day instead of never.

RETURN 2 PLAY · MASSAGE THERAPY
Ian Heaton
Massage Therapist
IN THE BUILDING
Ian works alongside Lauren and treats on site. Soft tissue work is the piece most people skip until something hurts, and it is far more useful as maintenance than as rescue.
Book him the same way you book anything else here. If you are already working with Lauren, the two of them coordinate rather than duplicating.
RENEW SPECIALTY GROUP · MEDICAL
Medical and hormone care
18805 W. Catawba Ave, Cornelius · Two minutes from the gym
PARTNER PRACTICE
Renew handles the medical side of the equation: hormone therapy, GLP 1 medications, peptides, NAD+, and IV therapy. We are not a medical practice and we do not pretend to be one. What we do is train the people they treat, and share what we see.
If you are on a GLP 1 medication, this partnership is the reason we can help you hold onto muscle while you lose weight instead of losing both. That is a training problem as much as a medication one, and it needs both sides talking.

C2 TRAINING · NUTRITION
Elle Stuart
MS, RD · Registered Dietitian
ON STAFF
Elle is our registered dietitian and the only person here who does one to one nutrition coaching. That is deliberate. Our coaches will talk to you about protein and water all day long, and anything past that goes to Elle, because a dietitian is a licensed profession and a coaching certificate is not.
She also runs our youth athlete nutrition work, which is where most parents discover their kid has been training hard on almost nothing.
HOW IT ACTUALLY WORKS
What happens when something hurts.
This is the part most gyms cannot answer. Here is ours, step by step.
01
You tell your coach
Not at the end of the cycle. That day, before class. A shoulder that has been talking to you for two weeks is a conversation. A shoulder you trained through for two months is a project.
02
Your coach adjusts the session,
not your goals
Because every format here runs on the same movement patterns, there is almost always another way to train the same thing. You are not sitting out. You are doing different.
03
If it needs a clinician, one is here
You do not get a phone number and a six week wait. You get an appointment in the building with someone who has watched you move.
04
They tell your coach what changed
With your permission, findings come back to the floor. Your programming reflects what a clinician actually found rather than what you remembered to mention.
05
You keep training the whole time
This is the entire point. The worst outcome of an injury is not the injury. It is the three months of nothing that follows it, and the habit you never get back.
WHERE THE LINES ARE
Your coach is not your doctor, and we say so out loud.
We wrote this down as policy because the gyms that blur it cause real harm. Every coach here works inside it.
WHAT A C2 COACH WILL DO
- Coach your movement and program your training
- Talk about protein, hydration, and sleep in general terms
- Adjust a session around something that hurts
- Tell you honestly when something is outside their scope
- Connect you to the right person in the building
WHAT A C2 COACH WILL NOT DO
- Diagnose an injury or a condition
- Build you an individual nutrition plan. That is Elle
- Advise on medication, supplements beyond the basics, or hormones
- Treat you, or tell you to skip seeing someone who can
- Guess when they do not know
Assessment before strategy. Every time.
