Frequently Asked Questions

Answers to the questions we hear most often. Whether you are thinking about your first class or you have trained with us for years, this page explains how we coach, how our programs work, and what to expect at C2.

    • 1. How is C2 different from a regular gym?

Most gyms sell you equipment and a keycard. C2 sells you a coaching relationship. Every class is led by a credentialed coach who knows your name, your history, and your goals, and we have been coaching this community since 2013. We also have clinical support on site: physical therapy, massage therapy, and nutrition guidance from a registered dietitian, all available at member pricing. The equipment is not the point. The people are.

    • 2. I have never lifted weights before. Is C2 for me?

Yes. Every class at C2 is coached, and every movement is adjusted to your current ability. You will never be handed a barbell and wished good luck. Most of our members are adults between 35 and 55, many of whom walked in with no barbell experience at all. The only version of you we care about is the one who shows up.

    • 3. I am returning from an injury or working through one. Can you accommodate that?

This is one of the few facilities anywhere with a doctor of physical therapy working on site. Tell us about the injury in your first conversation and your coaching will account for it from day one. Training around an injury with people who communicate is far safer than training alone and hoping.

    • 4. What programs does C2 offer?

      4. What programs does C2 offer?

Every class format at C2 is built on the same training cycles, so here is each one, who it is for, and what it is built to do.

CrossFit Group Class is the flagship hour: coached strength work on structured six week cycles, then conditioning adjusted to you. For members who want the complete package, strength and engine together, in one coached session.

HybridFit delivers the same training intent without the technical barbell work, built on dumbbells, kettlebells, and bodyweight movement. The ideal home base for members who want to work hard without chasing barbell skill, and a perfect day one class. We have run it since 2018, long before hybrid training was a trend.

Lift is strength only. A coached barbell class focused on the main lifts, quality positions, and progressive loading, with no conditioning piece. For members prioritizing the muscle and bone density that protect you for decades, and for anyone whose joints need a day of strength without speed.

Engine is conditioning only. Aerobic capacity, intervals, and pacing across rowers, bikes, and mixed movement. Lower skill demand, high return for heart health and endurance. For members building their engine, or balancing a strength heavy week.

Strength Lab is a closed, coach led strength program built specifically for women 40 and up navigating perimenopause and menopause. The science of hormones, muscle, and recovery drives every session. This is a clinical program, not a class with lighter weights.

CrossFit Express is Friday at 5:00, a compact 45 minute session with a complete training stimulus. For members who want to finish the week strong and still get to their evening.

Sport Class is Saturday morning and our most advanced hour: competitive formats and higher skill work that test the week's training. Built for experienced athletes with a developed base, and a goal worth training toward for everyone else.

Because all of it is programmed in unison across shared movement patterns, you can combine formats through the week without overtraining. Members also get Open Gym with scheduled floor time, and beyond classes we offer personal training, C2 Athlete for youth athletes, performance nutrition with a registered dietitian, and Evolt 360 body composition scanning.

    • 5. What does training at C2 look like over my first 90 days?

Your first weeks are about learning the movements and the rhythm, with your coach adjusting everything to your level.

By your second month you will notice the classes follow structured cycles rather than random daily workouts, and your lifts start climbing on purpose.

By 90 days most members have measurable strength gains, better movement quality, and a habit that no longer requires willpower.

Many members bookend this window with Evolt 360 scans to see the change in muscle and body composition on paper.

    • 6. What is a Performance Assessment?

An optional (but highly recommended) 75 minute private session and the strongest possible start we offer. It includes a full Evolt 360 body composition scan, a movement quality screen, a strength baseline, and your 30 Day Blueprint, a written plan for exactly how to run your first month at C2.

It is never required to join. It is simply the fastest way to make sure your training fits you from day one. The investment is $199. $100 will be rolled into your first month if you sign up within 6 days of your assessment.
