Frequently Asked Questions

Answers to the questions we hear most often. Whether you are considering your first Performance Assessment or you have been training with us for years, this page is here to give you clarity on how we coach, how we structure our programs, and what to expect when you train at C2.

    • 1. What is a Performance Assessment?

A Performance Assessment is the starting point at C2. It's a 75-minute private session with a coach that includes an Evolt 360 body composition scan, a movement quality screen, a goal intake conversation, and a written 90-day program recommendation built specifically around what we learn about you. Every member starts here. We do not coach people we have not assessed.

    • 2. How is C2 different from a regular gym?

We do not sell memberships to a building. We sell coaching. The Assessment tells us where you are, what your body needs, and what we should program for you. From there, every session is built around your goals, your history, and your data. It is the opposite of showing up to whatever class is on the whiteboard.

    • 3. I have never lifted weights before. Is C2 for me?

Yes. We coach beginners through advanced lifters, and the system is built to meet you wherever you are. The Assessment determines your entry point. From there, your coach progresses you at the right pace, with the right load, for your body. Inexperience is not a barrier. Inattention is.

    • 4. I am returning from an injury or working through one. Can you accommodate that?

Yes. C2 is co-located with, a doctor of physical therapy clinic. We coach across the bridge between rehab and full performance. If you are working through something acute, we coordinate with your provider. If you are post-rehab and ready to rebuild, we know how to do that without re-aggravating what just healed.

    • 5. What does training at C2 look like over my first 90 days?

The first 90 days are designed to establish a baseline and a habit. Weeks 1-4 focus on movement quality and consistency. Weeks 5-8 begin adding structured load and intensity. Weeks 9-12 introduce progressive strength and conditioning blocks. We re-scan your Evolt 360 at week 12 to measure body composition change against the starting point.

    • 6. What programs does C2 offer?

We offer Strength and Conditioning, Hybrid Training, Strength Lab (women's-only strength training), Personal Training, and Nutrition coaching. The right program or programs for you is determined during your Performance Assessment.

    • 7. How does the Evolt 360 fit into my training?

The Evolt 360 measures body composition: lean mass, body fat percentage, visceral fat, segmental analysis. We use it to set baseline numbers, recommend programming, and measure progress every 12 weeks. It is the difference between training with intent and training with hope.

    • 8. Can I use my HSA or FSA to pay for training at C2?

Yes. Through our partnership with TrueMed, eligible memberships can be paid for using your Health Savings Account or Flexible Spending Account funds. The Performance Assessment helps determine eligibility for your specific situation.

    • 9. How do you work with people on GLP-1 medications?

We coach a meaningful number of clients using Ozempic, Wegovy, and Zepbound. The challenge is muscle preservation during rapid weight loss. We adjust training and nutrition to protect lean mass while supporting the medication's fat loss benefits. Read more on our blog.

    • 10. What is the difference between Strength and Conditioning, Hybrid Training, and Strength Lab?

Strength and Conditioning is our 60-minute group training combining strength, conditioning, and skill work. Hybrid Training is a 45-minute interval-style class with a stronger conditioning emphasis. Strength Lab is a women's-only strength training program backed by nutrition, recovery, and Evolt 360 tracking. Your coach will recommend the right one for your goals.

    • 12. What is the membership pricing?

Membership pricing is shared during your Performance Assessment. We do not list pricing publicly because the right structure depends on your goals, your schedule, and the program your coach recommends. The Assessment is $199 and includes a $100 credit toward your first month if you decide to move forward.

    • 13. Where is C2 located?

19721 Smith Circle, Cornelius NC 28031. We are located in the Lake Norman corridor north of Charlotte.
